Happy Birthday Savanah

Savanah is now two years old!  I can't believe how fast my little baby has grown up.  There are so many things that I love about this little girl.  I want to keep her my little baby forever because I am loving every minute with her, but at the same time I can't wait to see her grow.  She tries to keep up with big brother and sister playin with the big kids.  Makayla wonders why she copies everything she says, and I tell her she is her little aprentice just soaking it all in...so be careful what you say!  I love that her hair is so white.  I love her curious big blue eyes.  I love the fact that her nickname "sassy" fits her personality so well.  She is such a ball of fire, and loves to entertain.  I really love that she potty trained so easily, and early!  I just love, love, love, her!  Happy Birthday Savanah!

Poop Pee Panties and Potty Training

We are in the Potty zone!  This week we have been working on going in the potty and Savanah is doing so good!  I am so glad to get this out of the way before the baby is born.  I love to see her come running out of the bathroom screaming "I potty in the toilet!"  then she'll grab anyone close by and say "show me"
I was dreading the whole thing after potty training Ben.  Girls seem to be so much easier, but then again I guess that just depends on the kid.  I'm just happy to be doin the potty dance with Savanah!

So many directions

My life in the last few months has felt like this sign.  I am glad that I have "permission" to blog again.(long story)  I almost feel like I have been out of the loop when I'm not on the computer all the time.  I wish that I could catch up on all the events that have been going on, but that would take more time than I have to sit and type.  Let's just say that my life has been eventful (to say the least).  So I guess I will just pick up from here.  Yeah, I'm a blogger again!

A Dream Come True Cupcakes for Dinner

I have never seen my kids so excited to eat dinner!  Even Savanah was chanting cupcake!
April Fools!!!  These are dinner in disguise.  The cupcake is actually meatloaf, and the frosting is mashed potatoes.  It was pretty tricky trying to make these without them seeing what they really were.  The fact that they had to stay out of the kitchen only made the suspence greater!  Even though these weren't sweet cupcakes, they sure were delish!

It's quite a shock to the tastebuds when you are expecting one thing and you get something else!  After this prank the kids were trying to come up with some reason to say April Fools.  I had to laugh at Ben because whenever he said it it was April foo, or I April fuzed you mom!

Freaky Friday

Last night I was having a horrible night, i felt awful and I was so glad to see the sun come up.  It was about 5 in the a.m. when I did the routine bathroom thing and when I came back to bed Mike said "don't ever leave me." A little confused i said, Okay...is it alright if I go to the bathroom?  So then he tells me about the vivid dream he had about me dying.  After that I said man I felt like I was going to all night it was horrible!  Later in the morning I was still feeling pretty bad, and I was just passing it off as maybe I have the flu or something.  I would have this intensly sharp pain in my side along with my gut wrenching pain in my abdomin, and because I am pregnant (and with the instance of mike, especially after his dream) I called the doctor and they told me to go to the E.R. for a ultrasound because they wanted to rule out the possibility of an A something pregnancy. Ectopic maybe?  Anyway, I really didn't want to go only to find out I have the flu or something silly, but I went.  Four hours later they confirmed that the baby is healthy & my female parts are workin good, but it's still a mystery why i have that pain.  They did say I have the beginings of a urinary tract infection, but that wouldn't cause it.  Or maybe it could be kidney stones.  Shoot I will birth twins with no medication just not kidney stones.  I have heard too many horror stories of those jagged little stones coming out,  it can't feel any better than the cathetar I had to have.  They said that drinking plenty of fluids will help, so if you see me cartin around a 55 gallon drum of water it's so I can be well hydrated.  Oh so the whole twilight thing of today was on the way home I was asking mike what day it was and he said the 12th.  I thought wouldn't that be funny if it was the thirteenth because it's friday.  Then he corrected himself and said oh it's the thirteenth.  Thats when the twilight music started playing in the background.  I forgot to mention in mikes dream I died on a friday.  So I was teasing him by asking him if he was going to stay up until midnight to make sure I make it through the night.  He didn't think I was that funny.  It's now 10:14 and I think there is a pretty good chance that I will make it to tomorrow, phew!

Someone stole an hour of my day

I don't know about anyone else, but this daylight savings is kickin my bootie.  I was feelin really good about myself as a mom because in the morning I finally had a schedle going.  I would wake up by seven make a good breakfast for the kids, wake them up eat breakfast, read scriptures, get them dressed and out the door.  Now...well lets just say we are lucky if they go out the door with all their clothes on!  I have been waking up at 8:00 and even then I don't want to get out of bed!  Then I feel like a drill sargent the rest of the morning, it goes something like this:  Eat your food hurry, hurry.  Less talking more eating (brushing hair while eating) Makayla stop doing the potty dance just go to the bathroom.  Just tip your head back while i pour your cereal down your throat (okay i really don't do that one).  And this week we have been lucky if we can walk in the door as the late bell is ringing, phew.  So much for feelin like a good mom...oh well I think I'm gonna play the prego card this week :)
