We have a spy

The other night Mike and I had put the kids to bed and we were enjoying the fact that we could have a conversation together. Well a few minutes later we heard the pitter patter of little feet upstairs. Mike stands up to check and we hear the little "spy" running back to his room. If you have seen the increadibles and know the sound dash makes when he runs, that's what it reminded me of. So we went back to talking and a few minutes later we hear a noise in our room, so mike checks it out and Ben is in our room playing with the ever forbidden BMW key. When he sees dad he hurridley puts the key back like nobody's bussiness, and then goes back to bed. (If he wasn't so cute we would have to be a little more upset by now) So again we start talking and we hear a noise in our room, so Mike sneaks up there to scare him, which he does and Ben in a panic screams "I'm not playing with your BMW key because I don't know where it is!"We got a good laugh out of that one. Again we sat on the couch but we didn't hear anything for awhile. Mike went to check up on Ben and he was nowhere to be found in his room, or our room, or anywhere upstairs. Mike came downstairs and guess who was around the corner...sound asleep.

Training wheels not included

I almost forgot how to post, it has been so long! Makayla just learned how to ride her bike without her training wheels, yeah!!! It is so fun to see your kids grow up and accomplish big things like this. Ben wants to be just like her so we had to take his wheels off too...we still have some work to do with him :)

Happy Birthday Makayla

I can't believe that my firstborn in the wilderness is now five years old! The thought of sending my child to kindergarten was forever away and now here it is! I am so glad that Makayla is my oldest, she is such a wonderful big sister and a great friend. I have loved watching her grow up. She is such a little smartie pants that sometimes I tease her that she is going to pass me up soon! Makayla I hope you have a wonderful Birthday. This morning you told me that you just love being five! I love you Makayla Happy fifth Birthday.
This is Makaylas first night home from the hospital. And typical of first parents we just stared at her until the wee hours of the morning. We put it all on video and as much as I love my little girl it is a painfully long video of her sleeping. If anything it is funny to see how googely we were over her.

The Magic Wishing Well

One of my neighbors comes in my house telling my that my kids have found a magic wishing well that they want to jump into to go to a magical land called Enchanted. I went outside and my kids were gathered around ready to take the leap. It was pretty funny to see them so excited about it.
Make a wish, and then jump!

She's on the move!

I was doing laundry the other day and I heard Savanah fussing, which usually happens when she is tired or Ben is "loving" her. I knew Ben wasn't sitting on her because he was with me, so i thought I had better go check. Thank goodness I did because she was halfway up my stairs! I wasn't expecting that! I have forgotten all the things you need to do once they start crawling around, like sweep and vacuum every day, block off your stairs, cover outlets, etc! She definately keeps me busy.

I looked out the window and what did I see...?

Well it wasn't POPCORN!
After the first snowfall one of my friends who moved here from Florida was a little worried about having to drive in the snow. "Oh don't worry." I tell her. "It never snows in Idaho, infact I am suprised we even got this much snow." Open mouth, insert foot. I think I picked the worst year to be sayin that! With the way we're goin now, we might even have snow in July!
