Baby blanket corner pocket

Ben has a new stash. I tell ya what, tryin to keep up with all his new hiding spots has been pretty interesting. A couple of days ago we lost Savanahs blanket, it was here one second and then it vaporized, or so we thought. I remembered seeing it around the house and then when bedtime came it was nowhere to be found. Normally it wouldn't matter, it's just a blanket. Not this one though, this is Savanahs woobie. You don't mess with the woobie. So yesterday I opened the cupboard and low and behold there is her blanket, along with a few other things like a bottle of milk, which wasn't smellin to perty, and a few other knick-knacks. Lately he has this thing with her bottles. When Savanah puts them down, or he finds them in the fridge he hides them, or hides himself while he drinks it. The thing i don't get is it's formula! It doesn't even taste good! The hiding place before this one was pretty funny too, it was in my living room in a big house plant i have. I found bags of cereal camoflauged in the leaves, bottles, keys, you name it!

Oh Brother

Makayla just informed me that Ben is not the brother for her. He is just not what she wants. Of course this is after he "ruined everything that is special to me!" She was working on a project and Ben was a little bored, and Ben and bored should not be allowed in the same sentence because that just equals trouble. Makayla wants me to put an add to sell Ben.

Hide and Sleep

The first time I went to check on Ben and he wasn't in his bed, I was a little frightened. I had to go over in my mind if I had locked all the doors with the chain before I tucked him in. Luckily Ben just likes to be a fly on the wall and is usually close by to where ever Mike and I are. It makes me laugh everytime I see his empty bed and then have to play hide and seek. The scary thing is is that he is so quiet. I have never heard him, and most of the time he was just around the corner...or on a stair! I'll tell you what, life has not been boring with this little guy around! One time when he was under our bed mike decided to leave him there to teach him a lesson. In the middle of the night he wandered back to bed. I think it was a little rough getting there though. I heard a loud crack that woke me up from my sleep, and in the morning his night-lite was shattered on the floor. I still can't figure out how it all happened.

Send in the Tooth Fairy

Makayla has been working hard wiggling that tooth! She was wiggling it and said mom I can feel a hole on the bottom. I knew that it was loose enough to pull if she could feel underneath, so I said let me have a looksee. I gave it a little wiggle and before you could say Bobs your uncle, I pulled it out. The look on her face was priceless, I wish I had my camera with me. It was a mixture of fear because I just pulled out her tooth, and excitement, if that makes sense. With the anticipation of the Tooth Fairy coming, getting her to bed that night was a piece of cake. I almost wish they could loose a tooth every night! I can't believe she is already loosing teeth, she is growing up so fast!

A weekend away

This weekend we went up to Donnelly to visit grandpa Breinholt who was working on a cabin up there, and we made a little camping trip out of it. Tyler and Rachel Johnson were at their ranch that same weekend, so we stopped by and paid them a visit. We had such a fun day with them, and after enjoying the beautiful mountains, horse riding, monster swing rides, paddle boats, four-wheelin, a game of horse shoes, playin in hay forts, and enjoying great company, I didn't want to come home! Of course all Ben was interested in was the four-wheelers and it's keys. Savanah was fascinated with the animals, but only from a distance. And Makayla was busy soaking it all in. And Mike, well he ran off with Tyler and played hard like little boys do.

whoa! how long has that been there?

One, two, three, four, five, phew, still have all the fingers!

A trip to the Zoo

I can't find my camera so I was looking through the pix I have on the computer and noticed I haven't posted any of our summer activities. When we went to the zoo it was so hot, I think we picked the hottest day of the year. There were only a few animals that we could see, The rest were probably passed out in some shade. I think the kids had more fun playing on the fake animals that are around the zoo than actually looking at the real ones.

I love my kids...all four of them!my priceless pearls

First Day of School

So When I first had Makayla the thought of kindergarten was far from my mind. I can't believe it is already here, where did those five years go? Makayla has been counting down the days until she gets to ride the bus to school. Last night her excitement was contagious it was like the night before christmas. It has never been so easy to get her out of bed in the morning, but we'll see how long that lasts! So this morning I was so excited to get a picture of her getting on the bus, you know the classic first day of school picture where the kid is climbing the stairs and looks back to give you one last smile. Oh no, I wasn't fast enough. Makayla just plowed her way to the front and climbed on the bus and didn't even look back. I was only able to get the bus driver. Well 12:25 rolls around and she still wasn't home and I was getting a little nervous so I had to call my friend, "where is she, what's going on, why isn't she home!" Turns out there was just a little delay. First day of school there are bound to be a few right? Well she had fun, made a lot of new friends on the bus and in her class, and she even saw her friend Elle who is in the first grade on the playground. Good times, good times. So I guess this is the beginning to the long road of school days! Only about 3024 more days of school left (and thats a rough estimate!)
